Dreamscape Diaries

Ask me something, you know you want to...   Submit   This is going to be my diary or journal on my lucid dreaming journey :) For those who do not know what a lucid dream (LD for short) is; It's a dream where you know you're dreaming. Sound interesting? Had them before? Google it ;)

This is where I'll type up my progress, who I meet, places I've seen and things I've done. I'm a newbie, and these things take time, so bear with me please. Maybe you can help me along the way...

I'm a 15 year old girl who leads a pretty average and normal life. I've done a fair share of traveling for my age, and I always want to find something better :) I believe something good can come out of anything, if you're willing to trust yourself, look past the ugly and find it.

Life can be like a game... You've just got to figure out how to play it ;)

WILD

No, I don’t mean going off the rails or undomestic animals.

WILD stands for Wake-Induced-Lucid-Dream.

It’s probably one of the coolest, most effective, scariest, complex method of inducing lucids that there is.

They’re pretty damn cool.

So when you go to sleep, your body has a safety mechanism. It paralyses your body so you can’t move around, but this happens when you’re asleep and don’t notice. Although in fact, some people do; they wake up and feel paralysed for a few seconds.

WILDing, is when you go straight into a lucid dream from a concious state. But it pretty hard and can be frightening until you’re used to it. You’ll see why in a moment.

So, it’s best to do this after you’ve had about 6 hours sleep. This is because it’s near a REM cycle (the stage of sleep where you dream. At first they only last for a few minutes but after it’s gone through the sleep cycle a few times, it lasts longer) and because it’s a decent length.

So you get up after about 6 hours (trial and error again, find out what works for you :) make sure you get out of bed because sometimes you can fall asleep during WILDs ) what you want to do is wait awhile, like a WBTB.

So when you go back to bed, lie in a comfortable position. Make sure you stretch beforehand because this can tense your muscles up. Then STAY STILL.

Do not move at all. Don’t focus on your thoughts, but remain concious. You may have to remain like this for awhile, so completely relax and breathe evenly. Try not to think about your goal at all.

This tricks your mind. To test that you’re asleep, it sends you signals. A strong sense to move over, or an itch. IGNORE IT. Remain still. It will think you’re asleep, and paralyse you.

The sleep paralyses it one of the reason’s it’s scary. Another is the hallucinations. Whilest entering a lucid dream, you hallucinate. This is why I don’t recommend WILDing with your eyes open.

If your eyes are opened, you will see images. They may or may not be frightening. But imagine this; You’re in the dark, in your bed, paralysed. A shadowy figure appears before and slinks its way across the room to you, revealing a demonic face. You can’t move, only watch.

So close your eyes. The hallucinations are dulled this way. You will still see things, but they’ll be more like flashes of light instead of actual objects. You will also hear things. They vary from person to person. Some people hear whispers in their ears. Personally I hear scratching, wind chimes and static noises.

You may also vibrate during this. Just don’t focus on it. Then you will feel as though you’re spinning or falling into something. At this point you need to imagine a dreamscene, and “roll into” it. Sounds wierd, but you’ll understand when you do it. If you think the WILD has failed; REALITY CHECK. You may have just had a false awakening.

Now you understand why WILDing is complex. Entering SP and then the dream is the hardest part. My heart usually beats to fast and brings me out of it. But practice makes perfect, right? :) It’s a popular method, but hard to master.

I only recommend this for people who have had at least one DILD first :) It’ll make it a lot easier if you know what it’s like to live inside a dream.

I say “shut the fuck up” more than I probably should. Then again, I think everyone does. New Years Resolutions never get followed through.

Places

I thought I’d type up some places I’ve been (whilest dreaming). I name them so that I can keep track of them :-)

Loch House - A house that occupies several boys. The Angel (more on him later) has been seen sleeping here. How I got there - By going into a lift, traveling through a white corridor and then a filthy toilet.

Marble Town - A medieval town that has huge, curving, black marble spikes surrounding the castle. I flew around this town once. How I got there - My dream started here.

Moth Sands - A desert with palm trees and giant moths. I didn’t stay long enough to find out much about it. How I got there - I flew into the sky, changed the layout of the earth and then flew back down.

The Dark Forest - A dangerous place with many monsters and animals. It looks calm and safe, but you never know what might be lurking in the shadows. Contains the Dark Creatures Lair (I need to kill these guys, I’ll explain later). How I got there - After my brief visit to Moth Sands I flew back up, repeated changing the earth, and then flew back down.

These are only a few places. But then again, I’ve only had a few lucid dreams :)

Whenever I visit someplace new, I’ll post it :)

Sweet dreams, xoxo

Sleepy Time

Sometimes I find it hard to sleep. I went through I phase where I was barely sleeping at all.

I’m drinking Clipper Sleep Easy tea for the first time tonight. It smells like oranges but… it’s pretty tasteless.

Oh well.

Better luck next time
